Together we ROAR! - Resilience, Ownership, Acceptance, Respect
Hello everyone,
We want to share an update on our school dismissal procedures. Beginning immediately, BMS staff will no longer be directing traffic on Bow Center Road. We will continue to manage traffic within the school parking lot. Officer Shutter and/or Bow PD will be present as often as possible. However, in the event they are unavailable, we need everyone to recognize that the dismissal process may take slightly longer. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we implement this adjustment.
Important Dates:
2/19: School Talent Show - All BMS students will be at BHS from approximately 9:15 - 10:30
2/23 - 2/27 No School February Break
Student Council Updates: This is a big week for the BMS student body! Student Council has been working hard to bring you a fun-filled, action-packed week in anticipation of February Break.
Next Week is Spirit Week! (Feb 16-20)
Wear your school spirit on your sleeve next week! We've got a new theme each day. Raid your closet and get ready for some fun:

Thursday 2/19......................Hawaiian Day (conjure up some summer vibes)
Friday 2/20...........................Class Color Day (wear your class color!)
Talent Show: Thursday Feb 19
We have a tremendous lineup for this year's talent show! We are incredibly proud of our talented student performers, and we can't wait to bring the show to the student body.
Parents of student performers, you are invited to attend the Talent Show! Remember also that student performers will need to attend a dress rehearsal night on Tuesday or Wednesday. Students can catch a ride with a parent or walk from the middle school to the high school for dress rehearsal.
Knockout Tournament: Friday Feb 20
We keep the fun rolling on Friday afternoon. Student athletes will compete in the school-wide Knockout Tournament. Cheer on your friends as they fight for the title of Knockout Champion!
BMS Blood Drive:
The annual Blood Drive is on March 3rd from 3:00 pm - 7:00 PM in the BMS cafeteria. We encourage anyone who is able to come and donate. 16-year-old donors require a parent permission form before donating.

From the Health Office:
8th Grade Parent/Guardians of school sponsored sport players:
It is a Bow High School athletics requirement that all athletes have a physical examination by a physician certifying that they can participate in interscholastic athletics dated after February 1st of their 8th grade year to participate in BHS athletics.
Convenient MD offers $25.00 Physicals Convenient MD
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the High School.
6th Grade Parents:
It is still a NH State requirement that proof of TDAP and a new physical examination be submitted to the health office prior to the start of the 7th grade year. The 6th grade year physical will work! Typically, the TDAP is given during this physical as well. Please submit your student's physical and immunization record as you get them this year. You may upload both of these items in to the SNAP Health Portal, even with a clear cell phone picture or drop off a copy to the health office.
Just a reminder to all parents/guardians:
All health offices in SAU 67 are using the SNAP Health Portal. The SNAP program itself sends out reminders to update your contacts (emergency contacts)- we are aware that you can not delete things but if something needs to be changed let us know. The program also sends out other reminders. We have no control over that. Please bookmark this link. Its also on the SAU website under all the individual school health pages.
Each July 1st medication permissions reset (safety issue) so every school year they need to be filled out again. Cough drops, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Orajel, bacitracin ointment, tums etc need to be “opted” in. Please log in and familiarize yourself with the program.

It’s been a great week here at BMS, filled with learning, energy, and excitement. As we move deeper into the winter season, this is also a good time to remind families of our cold-weather recess guidelines: we head outside as long as the real feel is above 20 degrees. Please encourage your middle schooler to come bundled up. We know coats apparently cramp their vibe, but we promise, warmth never goes out of style!
